SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA | eTanom wins the Ecothon 2023 Grand Prize at the Global Startup Festival COMEUP 2023, held at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul, South Korea, from November 7-11, 2023. This prestigious award signifies a major achievement for eTanom and underscores our platform’s global impact in reforestation.

eTanom’s Global Victory

eTanom achieved the Ecothon 2023 Grand Prize by competing against 12 innovative teams from various countries, including the Philippines, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, and Cambodia. Throughout the event, we impressed both judges and the audience with our cutting-edge reforestation platform. Ultimately, we secured the top spot among global competitors. Moreover, the event gathered startup founders, investors, and government agencies, which made this recognition even more significant.

Sikai’s Head of UI/UX, Audwin Mocorro, presented eTanom. Our Chief Technology Officer, Vahn Cagalawan, supported him during the Q&A session. Their exceptional presentation highlighted eTanom’s potential, which played a crucial role in our grand prize win.

eTanom’s victory at the Ecothon in the Philippines 2023 showcases the innovative spirit of the Philippines. Alongside Session Groceries and Insiklo PH, eTanom proudly represented the nation on an international stage. We demonstrated our commitment to entrepreneurial excellence and environmental sustainability.

About eTanom

eTanom is a web platform for innovative reforestation that allows individuals to plant trees by purchasing our reforestation package. Using drone technology and biotechnology, we plant trees faster and more efficiently, enabling users to contribute to reforestation and take climate action. eTanom is co-developed by Sikai and Galansiyang, a rising Filipino startup focusing on the hardware side of reforestation. This collaboration has been pivotal in our success.
